My SO and I managed to make it out to Uechi Ryu Class today. Took some Opposite Action. It’s exhausting sometimes when neither partner has the motivation to pull the other along, but we somehow did it. Always good to make it out for practice. Sensei McGee says you need at least four hours of class each week to progress. Get what you can get, I suppose.
I crashed hard and ended up having a short nap after lunch. It’s funny how the simple act of going outside of the house always drains my mental battery. I actually was in the middle of my new project doing some research when I faceplanted on my tablet. I eventually pulled my glasses off and set the tablet aside so it wouldn’t get drooled on.
Since I got the adorable Tarot Card stickers from someone, I’ve been contemplating doing my own Tarot Card designs. I’m not sure if I want to do something silly or something more serious. I suppose I’ll make some more detailed cards for the Major Arcana and then see how I feel after that. Research is a big part of starting some art projects for myself. So I can get references and understand the details behind why something is done with other pieces.
There’s 22 Major Arcana Cards in the Tarot. Numbered from 0 to 21.
I’m not going to do anything crazy like attempt to draw a card a day or anything. I have a hard enough time doing the Inktober Challenge (drawing a picture a day in October). Since I haven’t been able to really find inspiration to draw anything since my Dad passed, I’d like to work on something that could eventually be a tangible item. If I manage, great. If I don’t, at least it’ll be an experience. That’s what I keep telling myself at least.

I’m starting at the bottom of the list. The World. As you can see, nothing very serious drawn yet. The basic idea is in my mind at least. I’ll post progress as it comes. Thanks for checking out my blog, guys!
