Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons Expansion

The content went live and I have been struggling in the new zone. I’m totally out of practice and clueless about what I am doing! It’s horrible and wonderful all at the same time. It’s beautiful at least. I loathed the mechanics that they implemented for the storyline to get to the new zone. I have stupid gimmicks. You have to jump from place to place and fight creatures. Great. Urgh.

I never played Guild Wars 1, but I’ve heard so many people gush about the Canthan area from the original game. Most definitely scratches that weeb itch. I really can’t wait to see the Guild Hall for this area. I want to switch my guild hall to it, but it takes about 100 gold and a group to defeat the boss to unlock it. So we’ll see how that goes eventually. I have 20 gold in my bank right now. Urgh.

Exploring and ogling the scenery is much easier with this new service. You go to a Raptor Shepard [Raptor Taxi] and you have the option to go to the seven different areas of the Zone. I think I’m missing one area because I’ve ridden 7/8 Raptors. So obviously there’s one more I’m missing… I’m taking things slowly.

The game … sometimes has weird bugs. Like getting on my mount and being stuck in the ground. Or these weird graphics and my mount lunging in strange ways. The first day of a new expansion usually has a lot of bugs, but Guild Wars/Anet is pretty good about doing multiple build updates. They don’t typically bring the server down for long periods of time. Which is different from my time playing the Elder Scrolls Online.

This is painful. It really is, but I want to keep playing. So I’ll face roll my way through this a bit more. Anywho, thanks for stopping by and listening to my gushing and ranting. See you in a post tomorrow~!
