I think I finally figured out why I wasn’t getting the Inktober Prompt e-mails. G-mail filters apparently work fairly well with putting certain things in the Promotions tab. I resubscribed and then filtered out the e-mail to find the prompt. So, woohoo~!
This prompt gave me some trouble. I didn’t want to do animal spots. So I had to contemplate… I thought about spots as dots and drifted towards the art style in comics where they do the coloring as dots/spots. This one was painful to get done, but satisfying when it was complete.
Comic book style plus Ghibli Anime?
There’s something keenly satisfying with having eight prompts done this year. Eight weeks into the year doesn’t seem like that much. Some part of me had been panicking before since it’s the end of February and two months have already gone by out of 2022. I guess the phrasing of time makes a huge difference?
