Someone that my FIL knows had a Beagle and a Poodle who ended up making babies. Haha.

They were born the big weekend we had snow … so about March 12th, one month ago. It was a big back and forth about whether or not we will actually be getting a puppy. Or puppies, as my SO has negotiated with his parents. I’ve been crying so often since I lost my rabbit and cockatiel. My SO’s mom doesn’t want the responsibility of puppies because she has so much gardening to do.

So my stepdaughter and I will be taking up the work. Mostly me. Since I’m the adult. And she’s only here half the time. I want a darker puppy, but the dark male has been claimed. So I’ll likely get the female with the dark fur and white paws. My FIL will likely be letting my stepdaughter pick one of the blonde puppies for them. So that she will match our blonde Golden Doodle.

It’s been an emotional roller coaster between not getting and getting one or two of these babies. At this point, it looks likely that we will be getting two. I’m beyond excited. It always seems like animals come our way during the time that they should. I had really wanted a Corgi, as I’ve stated before, but these babies were unplanned and need love! I’m going into planning mode right now.

Thankfully, I have an x-pen that was used for my bunny back in the way to keep her contained. We’ll be using that for the puppies when they’re smaller. As you saw from the first photo on the post, I’ve got a shopping list prepared for the puppies. We’ll be getting everything they need once it’s closer to the time they’ll be weaned from their mother. I think that’ll be around the first weekend in May?

If things go well, you’ll be bombarded with puppy pictures. Crossing my fingers that things will work out!
