I have way too many manga/manhwa bookmarked and probably need to eventually purge my list. But I’m so lazy. I used to read a ton of stuff on Mangadex, but their servers crashed last year and stayed down for about 3 months so a ton of the scan groups moved on to other places.
I woke up the other day to a bunch of my manga Discords having changed their names. Apparently, Discord was going after any scan groups. Deleting their servers. Not entirely sure why. Maybe copyright issues? I personally think most of these scan groups do a great thing. They scan/upload manga/manhwa, and translate them into English. Most of them drop a series once it’s been officially serialized. I suppose someone cared enough to put in something to Discord though.
Someone always ends up ruining it for others. Always support the original artist/creator of the content you enjoy! With that being said, let me launch into a brief description of the far too many series that I’m reading online right now.
Yuru Camp

It’s also known as Laid-Back Camp. It’s high school girls who enjoy camping. So it hits the slice-of-life genre that I relish so much along with cooking/food. Lots of outdoor information. I’ve always been a fan of the idea of camping, but not so much in practice. I’m prone to overheating or getting too cold depending on the season.
Laid-Back Camp also has TWO seasons on Crunchyroll, but a few episodes of some “shorts”. 5-minute blurbs about the Solo Adventures of one of the characters. I don’t have Crunchyroll premium right now, but I’m able to see all the episodes so you should be able to watch them all without a subscription. (Seriously though, they don’t look like high schoolers? They look so young.) It’s a super cute series that I’m trying not to binge my way through.
The Evil Princess Dreams of a Gingerbread House
This one has about 40 chapters out on the manga translation pages. I found it like two days ago and binged my way through it. I’ve been on a food/cooking genre kick this week. It also hits the Isekai genre, which is a fantasy genre where a person from Earth is transported to, reborn, or trapped in a parallel universe or fantasy world. A princess making sweets and winning the hearts of those around her. Very cute. Lots of cute food illustrations.

Your Eternal Lies. This one is a newer one that is updating slowly so each chapter that gets released is like a treasure. I read it on Bato.To which seems to be a newer version of manga hosting for scans. Since Mangadex went down for so long. The storyline is pretty interesting, I’ll just copy and paste the blurp that goes along with it:

This one doesn’t hit most of my normal genres unless you just count romance and drama. It’s an adaptation from a webtoon apparently though.
Anywho, I could probably go on for ages about the different manga/manhwa I’m reading so we’ll stop at those three. Is anyone else a big manga/manhwa fan?
