I ran some errands before picking up the child from school. Stopping by the library to return some overdue books. Because $.40 for late books is better than an entire gallon of gas to go back and forth between the neighboring city and home. Imagine my surprise when I was trying to pull into a parking spot. Yes, the lines are worn and faded…
But I don’t think it’s too hard to notice that something is wrong with the parking job of the car next to me.

I can’t even say that they were taking up two parking spaces … because they weren’t really even in one? I looked around briefly inside while I was paying my fines. There were only a few children, the librarians, and a silver-haired gentleman in the computer room. Let me tell you, the librarians have a different parking lot. I couldn’t bring myself to say anything to anyone, but as I was coming out, it really made me wonder.

I hate the idea of losing a right to do something, but if I can’t keep my driver’s license unless I keep my glasses prescription up-to-date… maybe we need to make sure the elderly are all there for driving as well. Maybe it’s just in the forefront of my mind since I drive MIL to her eye doctor’s appointment regularly, but it does make you worry just a bit.
Anywho, thanks for stopping in to read this today. As silly a rant as it was. Tomorrow is a fun day for stepdaughter and me, so expect some art museum pictures!
