I won’t be going, but the first Saturday in May is free comic book day and I highly recommend going to your local comic book store to check it out! I wanted to post about this in advance so that folks would remember and be able to go out to find something. I actually don’t have enough space right now for any new books, but I really do love them…
I usually hit the classics… Green Lantern, Doctor Strange, Deadpool, Spiderman, X-Men … DC, and Marvel. There are some anime comic books that I’ve got in my collection. And then some smaller indie artists.
Once I walked away from a library books sale with a ton of books and comic books for just $20.
I saved the books from a sad life of not being read!
Some of the more recent comic books that I’ve bought are pretty nice. It gives me a feeling of nostalgia, although they’re a lot more expensive than they were in the past. But you should definitely go visit your local shop and help support them by buying some comic books and other items! Plus free swag is always nice, right?
